-This pump model features a built-in check valve, however, this check valve is only used to prevent water from going back in the pump and causing backspin of the impellers, but if you are going to use the pump in a pressure system YOU NEED TO USE AT LEAST ONE EXTERNAL CHECK VALVE IN THE PIPE, the valve in the pump won't fulfill that function. Install external check valve right above the pump (as close as you can get it, in the first piece of pipe)
